Membership EligibilityThe Credit Union welcome any active or retired employees of Schools, and their immediate family, from the following Iowa Counties, Scott, Clinton, Cedar and Muscatine this would include the Mississippi Bend AEA and Scott Community College. We also welcome the Illinois Counties of Rock Island, Henry, Whiteside. A new account must be opened with a mininum deposit of $25.00 in a Regular Share Savings Account plus $1 membership fee. Share SavingsAccounts
We make it easy to save with us whether you choose to use Direct Deposit, Payroll Deduction or you choose to come in and talk with us we definately have the savings option that is right for you.
Regular Share Savings Accounts - The minimum
requirement is $25.00 in a regular Share Account. Dividends are paid on all share accounts based on daily balances, and posted quarterly.
Maxi-Accounts - Special Accounts - Minimum balance of $2,000.00 required.
Second Account - Payroll set aside for those ten month employees that do not get paid during the summer break.
Youth Savings Accounts - Special account for children up to 18 years old.
Traditional IRA - Deposits and earnings are tax exempt based on member's income until withdrawal. Contact our office for details on how this type of savings can benefit your household.
Roth IRA - Post tax income deposits with earnings and principal being tax exempt
Education IRA - Post tax income deposits set aside for educational use. Earnings and principle are tax exempt
Christmas Club - Special savings account paying variable dividends quarterly. Check mailed to member after October 15th for Christmas expenses.
Vacation Club - Special savings account set up to help with that dream vacation or supplement your summer fun.
Term Share Certificates - Savings Deposits for specific time periods. Penalty for early withdrawal. At present we offer different 6 month, 1 year and 18 month certificates. Minimum for 1 year and 18 month is $1000.00 and 6 month is $500.00.
Youth Add On Certificate - This is specifically for children ages 10 to 18 and earns 10% interest. Contributions can be made up to a maximum of $200 per month. Certificate matures when participant turns 18 years of age.
* During the month of your Birthday, you will enjoy an increase in your rate by 0.25%
